On the other side

I move on to listening to episode 5 of Finding Cleo. Despite Johnny's words, I can feel him crying inside. A brave brother used to promise to find his sister, and his emotion has peaked. In this poem, you will have the experience to be Johnny and read his real thoughts. The thoughts he never expresses to anyone, and the thoughts he only keeps for himself.

I promised I will find her.

She smiled to me

and I have found her now.

Her grave.

I know this day will come.

such a relieve

Now I know where she is,

I can come and visit her,

But I can never see her smile.

My hand is shaking

My eyes are burning

And a picture falls down

right in front of me

I pick it up

and hold it tight

A photo of my sister

in her bright yellow shirt

Her broad smile

constricts my heart,

makes me hurt

makes me hard to breathe.

I just wonder

Have I ever been a proper brother?

Who can’t even protect my sister.

The last hug she gave me

keeps replaying in my head.

Her happy face keeps showing up.

Such painful memories.

Cleo,

Sorry for breaking my words.
